CoAS Gen Dhiraj calls on LG, CM

Srinagar, Jul 7 : Chief of Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth, who is on his maiden visit to Jammu and Kashmir after assuming charge, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday, officials said here.

The Chief of Army Staff called on the Lieutenant Governor at Lok Bhavan here. They reviewed the prevailing security situation in the region, a spokesperson said.

Later, Gen Seth also called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at his residence, the spokesperson said.

The Army Chief was accompanied by Lieutenant General Balbir Singh, GOC Chinar Corps, he said.
