J&K BJP to celebrate ‘Man Ki Baat’, SP Mukherjee’s Birth Anniversary, Intl Yoga Day across all 10,000 booths

Jammu Tawi, May 22: For the first time, the BJP unit of the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Union Territory (UT) has decided to celebrate the Man Ki Baat being addressed by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi later this month, as also the birthday of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and the International Yoga Day at each booth of this UT.
This decision in this regard was taken by the J&K BJP on the directions of party high command. A high level meeting in this regard was held today evening at BJP head office, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
There are a little over 10,000 polling booths in the J&K UT and BJP has geared up its cadre for these celebrations in a mega way to send a strong message of nationalism as also to reach out to the people at grass roots level.
The BJP has put in place the ‘Panna Pramukhs’ and also the booth presidents for all the polling booths across J&K.
“The closed door meeting was held today chaired by the J&K BJP President and was attended by all the J&K BJP MLAs, all General Secretaries, including Ashok Koul, all the office bearers and also the District Presidents,” party sources informed the Northlines.
In the meeting, the BJP cadre was directed to mobilize people at each polling booth for these celebrations and make them aware about achievements of Modi Government.
It may be mentioned that the Prime Minister, Narendra, Modi will address ‘Man KI Baat’ on the last Sunday of this month falling on 24th of May, while the birth anniversary of Dr Shayama Prasad Mukherjee falls on 23rd of June next month. The International Yoga Day will be observed on 21st of June.
In the meeting today, the J&K BJP decided to celebrate Man Ki Baat, International Yoga Day and also the birth anniversary of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee at each booth of J&K and each Polling booth President has been directed make the celebrations a big success by reaching out to the people in every possible way.
