Kailash Mansarovar Yatra to Be Held from June to August; Applications Open Till May 19
by Northlines · NorthlinesNew Delhi: The annual Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will be conducted from June to August this year, with applications now open for interested pilgrims, the Ministry of External Affairs announced.
A total of 20 batches will undertake the pilgrimage, with 10 batches of 50 yatris each travelling via Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand, and another 10 batches of 50 yatris each via Nathu La Pass in Sikkim.
According to the ministry, applications are being accepted through the official website, and yatris will be selected through a fair, computer-generated, random, and gender-balanced process.
The pilgrimage is organised by the Ministry of External Affairs in coordination with the Government of China. The entire process, from online application to final selection, is fully computerised.
Applicants are not required to send letters or faxes for inquiries. Instead, they can use the feedback feature on the portal to seek information, submit observations, or suggest improvements.
Participants have the option to apply for both routes with a stated preference or choose a single route. The last date for registration is May 19. (Agencies)
