J&K Assembly Staff Protest Deputation Order, Seek Review
by Northlines · NorthlinesSRINAGAR, Aug 20: Employees of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Wednesday staged a protest inside the Assembly premises against a General Administration Department (GAD) order concerning the deputation of Deputy Secretary Bilal Ahmad Mir.
The protesting employees assembled within the Assembly complex and raised objections to the order, urging the competent authorities to review the decision and consider their concerns before taking any further action.
The staff members sought an appropriate and amicable resolution to the issue, maintaining that their grievances should be examined objectively and in accordance with applicable rules and administrative procedures.
During the protest, the employees pressed the authorities to intervene and address the matter in the larger interest of the Legislative Assembly and its staff.
The protesters maintained that the deputation issue requires careful examination by the competent authority and expressed hope that their concerns would be duly considered before a final decision is taken.
The employees also called for the matter to be resolved through established administrative procedures, while seeking a review of the GAD decision concerning the deputation of the Deputy Secretary. (Agencies)
