Police Raid Multiple Locations in Kashmir Over Suspected Terror Links
by Northlines · NorthlinesSRINAGAR, Aug 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Police counter-intelligence wing conducted raids at multiple locations across five Valley districts on Saturday as part of a crackdown on suspected terror-related activities, online misuse and alleged radicalisation networks, officials said.
Searches were carried out in Kupwara, Baramulla, Anantnag, Shopian and Bandipora in connection with FIR No. 03/2023 registered at Police Station CIK, Srinagar, under Sections 505 and 153-A of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Officials said electronic devices and other incriminating material were recovered and seized during the searches.
The seized material will be sent for forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation, they said.
The raids are aimed at gathering evidence and further probing suspected networks allegedly involved in terror-related activities, online misuse and radicalisation in the Valley.
