NTA Warns NEET Candidates Against Fake Re-Exam Paper Scams on Social Media
by Northlines · NorthlinesNew Delhi, June 17: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has cautioned NEET candidates and their parents against fraudulent social media channels claiming to provide leaked re-examination question papers in exchange for money, asserting that no paper leak has occurred.
In a post on social media, the NTA said scammers on Telegram are operating channels demanding between Rs 14,000 and Rs 25,000 while falsely claiming to offer access to the NEET re-exam paper. The agency categorically stated that there is no leaked question paper for the re-examination.
It also warned that fake “proof” videos featuring fabricated chats purportedly recorded before the examination are being circulated to mislead candidates and parents.
The NTA urged aspirants not to fall prey to such scams and advised them to rely only on official sources for examination-related information.
The agency also shared a video message by its Director General, Abhishek Singh, highlighting the extensive security arrangements put in place to safeguard the examination process.
Speaking to the media, Singh said the NTA is committed to ensuring a fair and malpractice-free examination. He said multiple layers of security have been introduced to protect every stage of the process, including the setting, translation, printing, transportation and storage of question papers until the examination is conducted.
He reiterated that stringent safeguards have been implemented to ensure that no individual associated with the examination process can compromise the integrity of the question papers. (Agencies)
