J&K: EoW Chargesheets Four for Securing Health Dept Jobs With Forged Certificates
by Northlines · NorthlinesSrinagar, Jul 2: The Economic Offences Wing (EoW) of the Crime Branch, Kashmir, has filed a chargesheet against four persons for allegedly securing jobs in the Health Department using forged educational certificates, nearly 12 years after the recruitment fraud came to light, officials said on Thursday.
The accused have been booked under Sections 420, 468 and 471 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) for allegedly cheating authorities by producing fake educational testimonials to obtain government employment.
According to the Crime Branch, the case was registered following a complaint that the four candidates, selected by the Services Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) for various Health Department posts, had secured appointments on the basis of forged academic certificates.
During the investigation, the educational documents submitted by the accused were verified and found to be fake and inconsistent with the records produced at the time of selection, the agency said.
“As a result, their selections were cancelled,” the EoW said in a statement.
The investigation concluded that the accused had dishonestly obtained government jobs by using forged certificates, thereby deceiving the authorities and securing appointments fraudulently, it added. (Agencies)
