IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing At Delhi Due To Engine Failure

MUMBAI, Mar 28: An IndiGo flight from Visakhapatnam to Delhi, carrying 160 passengers, made an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday after suffering an engine failure mid-air, sources said.

A full emergency was declared at the airport at 10:39 am for flight 6E 579 following the technical fault, according to officials. The aircraft involved was a Boeing 737, they added.

The flight landed safely at around 10:59 am, as per flight tracking data. All passengers on board are reported safe.

Authorities are assessing the situation, and further details are awaited.
