Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku says Asamoah Gyan has built a legacy that extends far beyond his achievements on the pitch following the former captain’s unveiling as ambassador for Ghana’s national teams and Colts football.

Speaking during the ceremony in Accra, the GFA president praised Gyan’s impact on Ghanaian society through philanthropy, youth empowerment and community support.

“True greatness is measured not only by achievements on the field, but also by the positive impact one leaves on society,” Okraku said.

He highlighted Gyan’s contributions through the Asamoah Gyan Foundation, which has supported healthcare, education and humanitarian causes across the country.

Okraku also commended the former striker for investing in businesses and creating opportunities for young people beyond football.

The GFA president described Gyan as a role model whose influence continues to inspire the next generation both on and off the field.
