Senegal Football Federation to relocate headquarters to building owned by Sadio Mané
· GhanaSoccernetThe Senegal Football Federation (FSF) is set to relocate its headquarters to a building owned by national team captain Sadio Mané in Dakar, with the federation expected to use the facility free of charge.
The move was confirmed by FSF third vice-president Pape Sidy Lo during the federation’s recent general assembly.
According to him, the federation will leave its current base at Liberte 6 Extension and move to Keur Gorgui, where it will occupy part of a 12-storey building linked to Mané.
Sidy Lo dismissed speculation surrounding the arrangement, including claims that the building had been donated or that the federation would be paying rent.
“We are no longer in a position where we have to pay rent,” he said. “The Federation will move into a 12-storey building as part of a structured partnership with strategic stakeholders who will occupy certain floors and cover the entire rent. The Federation itself will benefit from the premises free of charge.”
Mané is reported to have approved the arrangement as part of efforts to support the development of football in Senegal.
The relocation is seen as a significant boost for the federation as it seeks to improve its administrative infrastructure following recent successes on the continental stage.
