San Diego Comic-Con 2026 has come to an end, but the Transformers reveals continue with new figures arriving for Hasbro's Transformers: Age of the Primes collection. The ongoing Age of the Primes series explores the origins of the Transformers universe by focusing on the legendary Thirteen Primes, the ancient Cybertronians connected to the beginning of their civilization. One of the latest characters joining the lineup is Breakaway, a member of Nexus Prime. Nexus Prime was one of the original Thirteen Primes and possessed the unique ability to divide himself into independent Cybertronian warriors. To protect his power, Nexus Prime split into five separate components: Topspin, Skyfall, Landquake, Heatwave, and Breakaway.
Now, Breakaway is being brought to life by Hasbro with a brand-new Age of the Primes 5.5-inch figure. The figure converts from robot mode to jet mode in 16 steps and includes a blaster accessory that attaches in both modes. Featuring a bright blue, red, and yellow color scheme, Breakaway captures the unique appearance of this lesser-known Prime. The figure also includes a third transformation mode that allows him to combine with the other combiners to form Nexus Maximus. Pre-orders have not opened yet, but Transformers: Age of the Primes Autobot Breakaway is scheduled for release in Spring 2027.
