War: Final agreement not yet reached – Iran’s president
by Matthew Atungwu · Daily PostIranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, says a final agreement to end the war between his country and the United States is yet to be reached.
Pezeshkian made this known in a post on X, despite US Donald Trump celebrating the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran.
“What has been agreed upon is an important step towards stopping the war and starting negotiations,” Iran’s president said.
He further stated that while Iran has prepared itself for all options, it has learned not to submit to humiliation.
He said: “The memorandum of understanding that has been developed is the result of months of continuous dialogue.”
The Islamic Republic’s President said the memorandum was a document of pride for Iran, and insisted Iran had prepared for all options despite the tentative agreement.
Trump has said that the deal will be signed on Friday, starting a 60-day period of more negotations – including on the future of Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
