2027 election: APC, Tinubu supporters want to write results, we’ll give them pen, paper – Nwanyanwu

The National Chairman of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, Dan Nwanyanwu, has asserted that the All Progressives Congress, APC, and supporters of President Bola Tinubu are determined to manipulate the 2027 election and fabricate results.

Nwanyanwu also rejected claims that the outcome of the 2027 presidential election is already decided, emphasizing that opposition parties will vigorously contest against the ruling party during the elections.

“I believe they intend to write results. We are prepared; we will provide them with the pen and paper to write the results. We will remain in this country; we are not going anywhere. This election will be competitive. It is not finished,” Nwanyanwu stated during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday.

His remarks come in the context of heightened political activity as the 2027 general election approaches, with major political parties ramping up their preparations and forming alliances.

He advised Tinubu to be cautious regarding what he termed excessive political maneuvers by certain supporters of the President, cautioning that such actions could tarnish the Nigerian leader’s public image in the lead-up to the 2027 general election.

Nwanyanwu noted that some individuals claiming to support the President are engaging in behaviors that alienate the populace and reduce support for Tinubu.

“I believe President Tinubu should exercise caution with some individuals who profess to support him. Their excessive enthusiasm is causing people to lose interest in him,” he remarked.

The presidential aspirant indicated that some of Tinubu’s supporters are jeopardizing his chances for re-election by distancing themselves from Nigerians who previously supported him.

He said, “I am not in a position to advise him since I am also vying for that position, but this situation is rendering him quite unpopular.

“Moreover, there are individuals who initially chose to support Tinubu based on his leadership, but they have since withdrawn their support due to the company he keeps,” he added.
