Fire outbreak hits buildings in Abule-Oja Lagos [VIDEO]

There was panic on Abdul Street, along University Road in the Abule-Oja area of Lagos State on Wednesday following a fire outbreak on buildings in the vicinity. 

A video shared on twitter showed thick plume of smoke on what appeared to be two buildings, prompting calls for emergency responders to move in and contain the spread of the fire.

A crowd of passers-by were seen trying to put out the fire with water as panic spread.

It is not clear yet if the Lagos State fire service have put out the fire and the extent of the damage incurred.

The cause of the fire outbreak has also not been determined as of the time of filing this report.

This incident comes just a few days after fire gutted the headquarters of the Federal Mortgage Bank in Abuja, destroying items reportedly worth N500 million.
