Zamfara: Gov Lawal retains deputy as running mate for 2027

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal has retained his deputy, Mani Malam Mummuni, as his running mate for the 2027 election.

At the Government House in Gusau, Lawal presented Mummuni with a letter confirming the decision.

He described his deputy as a “committed, loyal, patient, humble, and dependable partner whose hard work has helped the administration achieve its goals.”

The governor said they have maintained a strong working relationship, adding that, Mummuni’s experience, good judgment, and commitment to public service have supported the government’s development plans.

Lawal also said the achievements recorded by his administration, especially in infrastructure and good governance, were made possible through teamwork, with the deputy governor making important contributions.

Responding, Mummuni thanked God and expressed appreciation to the Governor for the confidence shown in him by retaining him as running mate for the 2027 election.

He promised to remain loyal and committed to the administration’s vision, saying he would continue to work hard to ensure government policies and programmes, especially those focused on infrastructure and essential services, are successfully implemented.
