War: Iran’s proposal stupid, ceasefire on life support – Trump

President Donald Trump of the United States, US, has described Iran’s response to Washington’s peace proposal as “stupid”.

Speaking with reporters in the White House, Trump said nobody should accept such a proposal from Iran.

He said: “It’s a stupid proposal, and nobody would take it.”

Trump also noted that the ceasefire agreement is on life support.

The US President maintained that the ceasefire with Iran is “unbelievably weak”.

“I would say the ceasefire is on massive life support, where the doctor walks in and says, ‘Sir, your loved one has approximately a one-percent chance of living’,” Trump said.

On his part, an Iran Foreign Ministry spokesperson said the US would continue to make “unreasonable demands”.

The ministry stressed that Iran’s response to the US proposal that Tehran sent to Pakistan on Sunday “was not excessive”.
