Peter Obi: Group trying to cause confusion over Obidient Movement’s identity – Yunusa Tanko

by · Daily Post

The Obidient Movement has claimed that the splinter group which kicked out former presidential candidate, Peter Obi and Yunusa Tanko, is trying to create confusion about its identity.

In a statement he signed, National Coordinator of the movement, Tanko said Obidient Movement does not recognize any parallel structure within its ranks.

The Obidient Movement Rebrand group held a press briefing in Abuja where it expelled Obi and Tanko from the group.

Dismissing the expulsion, Tanko said in a statement said: “We became aware of the activities and announcements by some individuals and groups who are trying to operate under names and structures that are meant to create confusion about who they are, who leads them, or any changes that are happening.

“To avoid any confusion, the Obidient Movement does not acknowledge any other groups, divisions, or leaders beyond its official leadership, which aligns with His Excellency, Peter Obi.

“The public, media, supporters from Nigeria and the diaspora, and all related parties have been informed that any group using a similar or disguised identity does not represent the Obidient Movement, its principles, and leaders.”
