‘You’re lunatics, you can’t have nuclear weapon’ – Trump hits Iran leaders

United States President Donald Trump, has described Iranian leaders as “lunatics”.

Trump made the remark while maintaining that Iran can’t have nuclear weapons.

Addressing reporters in the Oval Office of the White House, the US President said Iran had agreed to allow the removal of all its enriched uranium but then changed its mind.

He said: “They said you’re going to have to take it. We were going to go with them. But they changed their mind because they didn’t put it in the paper.

“Iranian leaders as lunatics, I have a very simple plan, the plan is they cannot have a nuclear weapon.”

Trump described Iran’s firing of missiles at Gulf countries as a “tremendous strategic mistake”.

“Nobody thought Saudi Arabia and Qatar and the UAE were going to get hit, or Kuwait, Bahrain.”

He says that soaring oil and gas prices in the US will “drop like a rock” as soon as the war is over.
