Gov Yusuf appoints Umar Maggi as Special Adviser on Assembly Matters
by Hadiza Musa · Daily PostGovernor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has appointed former lawmaker, Umar Musa Gama, popularly known as Umar Maggi, as his Special Adviser on Assembly Matters.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Saturday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Umar Maggi represented his constituency in the 9th Kano State House of Assembly, where he served as a lawmaker.

According to the statement, “Maggi is known for his commitment to legislative duties and his contributions to the development of the state.”
Governor Yusuf urged the new Special Adviser to bring his experience, commitment and dedication to his new role.
The governor added that Maggi’s contribution would support his administration’s efforts to deliver good governance and quality service to the people of Kano State.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
