Osun 2026: Nothing will stop APC from taking Government House – Yilwatda
by Roseline Nwosu · Daily PostThe National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence that the party will emerge victorious in the August 15 governorship election in Osun State.
Yilwatda declared that nothing would stop the APC from taking over the Osun Government House, insisting that the ruling party had the capacity and political structure to win the election.
Speaking at the inauguration of the APC National Campaign Council for the Osun governorship poll, the party chairman said APC remains the strongest political force in the country and is well-positioned to reclaim power in the state.
According to him, the party would deploy its governors, members of the National Assembly, local government chairmen and other stakeholders to ensure victory at the polls.
“Nothing will stop us from taking over the Government House this August,” Yilwatda said.
He described the Osun election as significant to the APC’s preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing optimism that the party’s candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), would secure victory.
Yilwatda added that the APC would intensify its grassroots mobilisation across the state to garner support from voters ahead of the election.
