War: ‘US has wiped out military targets on Iran’s Kharg island’ – Trump names next target

President Donald Trump of the United States of America has stated that Iran will face severe consequences in the upcoming days, labeling the regime’s leaders as “deranged scumbags” and expressing that it was a “great honor” to eliminate them.

This was as residents of Tehran reported ongoing bombing and escalating violence throughout the Middle East.

The comments from the US president indicated a ramping up of the US-Israeli offensive, coinciding with Israeli and US warplanes conducting successive airstrikes on the Iranian capital and other locations on Friday.

One of the strikes reportedly targeted an area near Tehran University, where crowds had gathered in support of the Iranian regime. This vicinity houses numerous government buildings.

Footage released by the semi-official Tasnim news agency depicted a cloud of grey smoke rising as protesters shouted “Death to Israel!” and “Death to America!”

Throughout the region, chaos, bloodshed, and destruction continued, with additional Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon, resulting in the displacement of 800,000 individuals, new missile and drone assaults by Hezbollah and Iran targeting Israel and renewed Iranian strikes on civilian infrastructure in Gulf nations.

The US reported that six servicemen lost their lives in an incident involving a tanker aircraft used for mid-air refueling, which crashed in Iraq. Additionally, a French soldier was killed in Iraq due to a drone strike carried out by a pro-Iranian militia.

In a social media post, Trump remarked: “Observe what transpires with these deranged scumbags today… They have been taking innocent lives globally for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am eliminating them. It is a tremendous honor to do so!”

Later on Friday, Trump announced that US forces had “obliterated” military targets on Iran’s Kharg Island and cautioned that the oil infrastructure there might be next. This small island serves as the main terminal for Iran’s oil exports.

In a post shared on Truth Social, he remarked: “The United States Central Command carried out one of the most significant bombing raids in the history of the Middle East, completely destroying every military target located in Iran’s prized possession, Kharg Island.”

He further stated, “I have opted NOT to eliminate the Oil Infrastructure on the Island. Nevertheless, if Iran, or any other party, takes any action to disrupt the Free and Safe Passage of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will promptly reassess this decision.”

Pete Hegseth, the US Secretary of Defense, mentioned during a press conference in Washington earlier on Friday that Iranian leaders were “desperate and hiding; they have gone underground.”
