JusticeCrack sues Nigerian Army over alleged rights violations

by · Daily Post

Nigerian activist, JusticeCrack has filed a fundamental rights suit against the Nigerian Army, the Chief of Army Staff and the Attorney-General of the Federation over alleged violations of his rights during his detention.

JusticeCrack, whose real name is Chidiebere Justice Mark, disclosed this in a public statement issued on Wednesday through his legal team.

He alleged that Army personnel took him into custody on April 28, 2026, and subjected him to degrading treatment while he was detained.

“I was handcuffed and blindfolded, kept under the sun during the day and in extremely cold conditions at night,” JusticeCrack said.

He also alleged that he was denied adequate access to water and other basic necessities during his detention.

JusticeCrack said he was later transferred to the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS), where he spent approximately 21 days.

He said the action was separate from the ongoing criminal case against him, which came up in court on September 28.

According to him, the fundamental rights suit seeks a judicial determination of the circumstances surrounding his detention and the alleged violations.

“I am seeking justice, accountability and respect for the rule of law,” he said.
