‘Do your Tinubu Must Go in peace’ – Bashir Ahmad reacts as movement gains traction

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bashir Ahmad, has urged supporters of the ‘Tinubu Must Go’ movement to remain peaceful and allow others to express themselves.

Bashir, a former presidential spokesperson made the remark in a post he shared on his official X handle on Tuesday while reacting to derogatory comments by those calling for the president’s removal.

According to Bashir, everyone has the right to support their preferred candidates, stressing that throwing insults does not help any candidate to win election.

The APC chieftain wrote, “Do your Tinubu Must Go in peace and allow those of us with Tinubu Must Stay to do ours in peace as well.

“That is democracy, everyone has the right to support or oppose a candidate or government.

“At the end of the day, elections are decided by numbers in the ballot box, not by who throws the most insults”.

DAILY POST reports that the movement gained traction recently with some top politicians including former vice president, Atiku Abubakar throwing his weight behind it.
