Fubara congratulates Mbata on emergence of President-General, Ohanaeze-Ndigbo

Mbata, a former senator representing the Rivers East Senatorial District, emerged as the leader of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization during a poll held on Friday in Enugu.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara described Mbata’s victory as a reflection of his broad acceptance and exemplary character.
He noted that the overwhelming support from delegates highlights their confidence in Mbata’s ability to provide visionary leadership for the organization.
Governor Fubara expressed optimism that Mbata will steer Ohanaeze Ndigbo toward strengthening national cohesion and fostering mutual respect and cooperation within the Igbo community and beyond.
The governor further extended his best wishes to the new President-General in his efforts to advance the organization’s objectives and promote unity among Nigerians.
Governor Fubara said: “On behalf of the government and the good people of Rivers State, I once again congratulate you and assure you of our readiness to work with you toward maintaining and preserving national unity and cohesion.”
