Raising responsible, visionary leaders, how to build Nigeria of our dreams — Peter Obi

The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, says raising a new generation of responsible and visionary leaders committed to selfless service and good governance is the only way to achieve a prosperous nation.
Obi said this in a post on his Facebook page on Sunday after his engagement with students of Madonna University, Okija, Anambra state

The former Anambra State governor, said the interactive session provided an opportunity to engage with students whose questions reflected the frustrations of many young Nigerians over poor governance and widespread corruption, which he said had denied them opportunities to realise their full potential.

Obi stated that despite the challenges, he was encouraged by the students’ optimism and determination to contribute to national development.

According to him, leadership remains the greatest determinant of a nation’s progress, adding that effective leaders must possess character, competence, capacity and compassion, as well as the willingness to make sacrifices for the good of the people.

“Nigeria’s future depends on leaders who are committed to protecting lives, investing in education, creating opportunities and building strong institutions.

“Together, by raising a new generation of responsible and visionary leaders, we can build the Nigeria of our dreams that is Possible,” Obi stated.
