Jos attack: Tinubu never showed empathy – Iroegbu
by Matthew Atungwu · Daily PostA member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP/Obidient Movement, Dickson Iroegbu, has blasted President Bola Tinubu in his recent visit to Jos, Plateau State to commiserate with the families of the victims of Palm Sunday killings.
Speaking in an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ on Friday, Iroegbu said the president never showed empathy during the visit.
He lambasted Tinubu for complaining about power outage at the airport, questioning whose had responsibility of power supply.
Iroegbu said, “Things have happened all over Nigeria, and the president never visited. He finally visited Plateau, and it was anti-climax.
“The president has not demonstrated empathy or shown he is a chief mourner. He stops over at the Plateau airport, complaining about the light. Who should produce the light?
“Of course, the leadership he showed in Plateau cannot motivate anybody, because the President was not challenged. He didn’t show any commitment to safeguarding the lives of the Nigerian people, and that is why we should be careful, because this is election time.
“Permanent solution that we are looking for can only come from our thumbs to vote. Let us vote out a government that has failed. That way, any government that comes in will be afraid of what the people will do if they don’t perform.”
