Lagos ADC governorship candidate Rhodes-Vivour loses mother
by Matthew Atungwu · Daily PostThe Lagos State African Democratic Congress, ADC, governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has lost his mother, Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour (née Waboso).
Rhodes-Vivour made the announcement on Monday through a message shared on his official X handle, expressing grief over the loss while thanking God for what he described as a life of impact and fulfillment.
The politician said his mother was a pillar of strength to the family and remained deeply committed to her roles as a wife, mother and grandmother throughout her lifetime.
“With sadness in our hearts and gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the call to glory of Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour (née Waboso).
“A loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. The epitome of love. She will be sorely missed. May her beautiful soul rest in perfect peace. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly,” he wrote.
The family also released a memorial tribute celebrating the life and values of the deceased, describing her as a caring woman whose compassion, warmth and dedication left a lasting mark on everyone who came in contact with her.
