2027: Seriake Dickson hosts Kwankwaso in Abuja
by Matthew Atungwu · Daily PostNational leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Seriake Dickson on Thursday hosted the party’s vice-presidential candidate, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, in Abuja.
In a post on his verified X handle, Thursday, Dickson said the party had entrusted Kwankwaso with the responsibility of leading its party-building efforts across the 19 northern states, noting that within the constraints of the time available, he had done an excellent job.
He said Kwankwaso had lived up to the very high expectations, stressing that the party was grateful for his service.
The former Bayelsa State governor said Kwankwaso’s intervention had been valuable and that the party would act on the recommendations arising from the engagements he had with the party’s candidates from the 19 northern states, including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
“This evening, I was pleased to host our running mate and, by the grace of God, the incoming Vice President of Nigeria, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, who visited me with a large delegation comprising our governorship, National Assembly and other stakeholders of the NDC across the northern states.
“I thanked Kwankwaso for the experience, capacity and extensive network he has deployed to this important assignment. I also thanked all the leaders and candidates for the cooperation, support, respect and honour they have given.
“For the past nine months, I have remained fully engaged in building the party, holding meetings with stakeholders across the states, giving confidence and hope to our members, resolving issues and encouraging everyone to work with their state leaders.
“I, therefore, find it particularly gratifying that Kwankwaso has devoted the past two weeks to resolving several issues that would otherwise have come to me. By the grace of God, victory will be ours,” he tweeted.
