Police to arrest expelled Igbinedion school boys after viral bullying video

The Nigeria Police Force, Edo State Police Command, says it has launched a comprehensive investigation into the alleged bullying incident at the Igbinedion Secondary School.

DAILY POST reports that a viral video captured a moment two students brutalized colleague in the school premises.

A few days after the video went viral, the management of the school said the two erring students have been expelled.

However, a statement issued on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer of Edo State, ASP Eno Ikoedem said despite the expulsion, the police have commenced a detailed inquiry into the matter.

“The Command wishes to assure the general public that the perpetrators involved in the bullying incident will be arrested and made to face the law accordingly, in line with their respective ages and in accordance with the provisions of the law.

“The Edo State Police Command totally condemns acts of bullying, violence, or intimidation among students, and anyone found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” the statement added.
