Troops recover 11 rustled cattle from suspected terrorists in Kaduna

Troops of 4 Demo Battalion, operating under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have recovered 11 rustled cattle from terrorists in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama, in a post on X on Tuesday, quoted security sources as saying the recovery followed credible information about cattle-rustling activities at Katabu Pole Wire village.

He explained that the troops, operating from a checkpoint at Maraban Jos, intercepted the terrorists at about 1:48 a.m. on Tuesday while they were attempting to cross with the cattle.

The security analyst said the troops engaged the terrorists in a gun battle, forcing them to abandon the 11 cattle and flee the area.

He added that the recovered cattle were subsequently handed over to their rightful owners by the troops.
