Katsina: Customs urge discipline, professionalism among officers
by Mikal Attah · Daily PostThe Katsina Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has urged its personnel to remain disciplined and professional in the discharge of their duties.
The call was made by the Area Controller, Mohammed Saidu, during an inspection of officers deployed along the Katsina–Jibia border axis.
He was represented by the Acting Deputy Comptroller in charge of Enforcement, Umar Abubakar-Kigo.
Speaking during the inspection, Saidu said the exercise was aimed at assessing compliance with operational guidelines and the readiness of personnel manning the strategic border corridor.
He said the command remained committed to effective border management and improved operational efficiency, particularly in border communities such as Jibia.
The Area Controller also visited the Chairman of Jibia Local Government Area, Surajo Ado, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the Customs Service and the local government authority.
