Troops foil bandits, rescue three wounded civilians in Zamfara

Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued three wounded civilians after engaging suspected bandits along the Dampo–Rumba Road in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Friday.

The operation was disclosed in a post shared on X by security analyst Bakatsine on Sunday.

According to the post, the troops responded quickly after encountering the armed men, rescued the injured victims and secured the area.

Bakatsine also said the troops recovered 117 rustled cows, two donkeys, one goat and five cow skins from suspected cattle rustlers around Magami.

“On Friday morning, troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA rescued three wounded civilians after engaging bandits along the Dampo-Rumba Road in Bakura LGA, Zamfara State,” Bakatsine wrote.

In a separate operation in Tsafe Local Government Area, the troops reportedly recovered a stolen Toyota Camry believed to have been taken by criminals.

“The troops also recovered 117 cows, two donkeys, a goat and five cow skins from suspected rustlers around Magami, and recovered a stolen Toyota Camry in Tsafe,” Bakatsine wrote.
