A recent photo of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim alongside national shuttler Lee Zii Jia has gone viral, leaving netizens in stitches after noticing Anwar's amusing tip-toeing pose to appear taller next to the Olympic bronze medalist

The moment was snapped during a visit to the parliament building on Tuesday, 22 October, when Lee and fellow Olympic and Paralympic medalists gathered to meet the prime minister.

The group, dubbed the Magnificent Seven, included Aaron Chia, Soh Wooi Yik, Cheah Liek Hou, Bonnie Bunyau Anak Gustin, Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli, Eddy Bernard, and Lee.

"I am proud of their fantastic achievement and was touched to hear them share how they began while still in school and worked tirelessly to overcome obstacles to becoming world-class athletes and, at the same time, uniting all Malaysians through their success," Anwar said in an Instagram post.

When it was Lee's turn for individual photos, the prime minister was spotted tip-toeing beside him to bridge the height difference

"Lee Zii Jia is so tall to the extent that PMX had to tip-toe," a netizen quipped.

Another user commented, "Haha, I didn't realise Anwar was tip-toeing. So cute!" while a third added, "I didn't know Lee Zii Jia was this tall. Wishing you the best!"

For reference, the Badminton World Federation website lists Lee's height at 186cm, while Anwar stands at 169cm.

Many netizens also poked fun at Lee for his ankle-length pants, joking that the badminton player was sporting trousers from his childhood

"[Lee] borrowed the pants from his friends. He was rushing because PMX suddenly wanted to meet him. Do you think it's easy to find the right size for LZJ?" an X user said in jest.

"The photographer was being mischievous for not asking [Lee] to straighten his pants before the photo," joked a netizen, while another added, "It's pitiful that Lee has to wear short pants as if he had to wade through the flood."
