Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition coming to Switch 2
by Stefan L · tsaHyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition has been announced for Nintendo Switch 2, updating the musou prequel to Breath of the Wild for the newer hardware when it arrives on 25th February 2027.
But… there could be a bit of a catch.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition will deliver a major improvement with higher game resolution, 60fps support and a bit of a revamp that will ramp up the number of enemies on screen at once.
This will also include all of the Expansion Pass content, while introducing a new Calamity difficulty mode for those that really want a challenge.
But, we’ll have to wait and see what this costs. Nintendo describe this as more of a separate release for Switch 2, and while save game data can carry over, there’s merely a “discount” on the digital version of the game for existing owners. That’s somewhat different tone to the Switch 2 Edition upgrades for other games.
Pre-orders are going live today, so it won’t be long before we find out.
