The  Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will organise Haindava Sankharavam (battle cry of Hinduism) at Kesarapalle close to Gannavaram near here on Sunday (January 05).

Addressing a press conference at the public meeting venue, former MP and VHP leader Gokaraju Gangaraju and others said the event was expected to be a historic moment for Andhra Pradesh. The ‘Haindava Sankharavam’ was being organised to demand, among other things, the protection of ‘Sanathana Dharma’, Hindu temples from violation, from encroachment of temple properties and for transfer of non-Hindus working in Hindu religious institutions to other departments. The  Haindava Sankahravam would  unite Hindus not by caste, but by religion, they said

The ‘Haindava Shankharavam’ is seen as a national movement advocating for the autonomy of Hindu temples and will focus on presenting demands to the government. Prominent figures, including trustees of the Ayodhya Ram Temple and swamis from across the country, will participate in this event, which is expected to be politically neutral and focused on religious and cultural preservation.

The  Shankharavam, will focus on directing the future course of Hindu temple autonomy. Around 3,00,000 participants are expected to attend, with transport arrangements including 10 trains, 5,000 buses, 10,000 cars, and 15,000 bikes. There will be discussions on the steps required to ensure that temple properties are no longer used for political or commercial purposes. The Hindus were vexed with the exploitation of Hindu temples by successive governments for the past 77 years and feel the need for temples to be managed entirely by devotees, they added.
