Government committed to welfare of dairy farmers, says Minister

During the inauguration of a cattle shed at Lamalapalle in Ramapuram mandal of Annamayya district, which coincided with the Kanuma festival on Wednesday, the Minister underscored the State government’s substantial investments in initiatives aimed at supporting dairy farming. He said ’Mini Gokulams’ were being established in villages as part of the efforts to protect and safeguard cattle.
The Minister highlighted the advantages of cattle sheds, saying that they offer protection against adverse weather conditions, thereby ensuring the health of the cattle. He noted that approximately 300 cattle sheds had been approved for the Rayachoti assembly segment, with the Animal Husbandry Department and the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme collaborating on their construction. He assured that these facilities would soon become accessible to farmers.
He said the initiative was part of the government’s comprehensive strategy to improve the livelihoods of dairy farmers and promote sustainable cattle management practices in rural areas.
