Man stabbed to death in Maida Vale flat as cops hunt killer

by Joe Smith · The MirrorPolice have launched a murder investigation after a man was killed in a stabbing attack at a flat in London.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, whisking the man to hospital for urgent care but despite their best efforts he passed away.
The horrific attack happened in a flat in Maida Vale, London, on Friday (December 19).
Cops from the Met Police and paramedics arrived at the scene in north London at around 9.42pm.
Emergency crews set up a large cordon around the area while forensics officers made their investigation of the crime scene.
The killer is still at large, the cops have said, with no arrests yet made in the case.
Police said that investigations are still in the early stages.
Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Denby, leading the murder probe, is calling for help from the public.
He said: “My thoughts are with the victim’s family at this unimaginably difficult time.
“Our investigation is continuing at pace as we work to establish the full circumstances around this incident.
“Were you in the area or on Tollgate Gardens on Friday, 19 December?
“Do you have any mobile phone or dash cam footage of individuals in the area around the time of the incident?
“If so, please come forward and speak to police.
“I would also like to thank members of the local community for their patience while our enquires are ongoing, a number of cordons remain in place.”
