Driver, 18, killed and girl, 17, injured in horror crash as four arrested

Three teens have been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and a 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and assisting an offender following the fatal smash

A teen has died and another has been left injured after a car crashed into a garden as cops arrest three teenagers and a man aged 40.

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward or anyone with footage following the incident in Bradford, West Yorkshire, on Saturday morning.

First responders rushed to the scene at 12.55am yesterday following reports of a Ford Fiesta having crashed into the garden of a property on West Lane in the Balidon area.

Emergency services arrived at the scene of the crash to find the destroyed car and two people still inside.

A 17-year-old girl was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries, West Yorkshire Police said. She is said to be in a serious but stable condition today.

A 18-year-old boy, who had been driving the car, was confirmed to have died at the scene.

The force’s statement added: “Following enquiries, it was established the Fiesta may have been travelling in tandem with a white Suzuki Swift SZ3 just prior to the crash.

“Three 18-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving in connection with the incident.

“A 40-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and assisting an offender.

“All remain in custody for questioning.

“Multiple police enquiries remain ongoing and officers would like to speak to anyone who saw or has footage of the collision or the two cars involved before it took place.

“Anyone who can assist the investigation is asked to contact MCET on 101 referencing police log 0095 of December 20. “
