Prime Minister in Perth to announce red tape cuts, Westport funding

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is waking up in the west this morning, as he prepares to unveil key budget items that will impact WA.

Albanese will give the keynote address in front of the state’s resources sector at a Chamber of Minerals and Energy breakfast today.

It’s expected he will reveal the state government will soon be given the power to approve energy, housing and resources projects all on its own and on behalf of the federal government.

It’s hoped the $45 million plan will minimise unnecessary costs and delays.
