Early attempt to stop Connolly’s appointment fuelled later action: Davidson

Counsel assisting Joanna Davidson is now speaking on the employment of Gail Connolly.

“The evidence is expected to indicate that before Ms Connolly formally commenced her employment at the City of Parramatta, there had been an unsuccessful attempt to have the council reconsider its resolution of the 13th of March 2023 appointing her,” she says.

“That early contest matters not because the disagreement concerning her appointment is problematic, but because it played a role in shaping what followed for Ms Connolly.”
