God of War Laufey release date

Cleave your way through the afterlife as Kratos's better half next winter.

God of War Laufey, the next adventure in Sony’s lauded God of War series, got a release date earlier tonight at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC): February 16, 2027.

God of War Laufey stars the eponymous character as she hacks and slashes her way through the Afterlife of the Gods. Judging by the game’s lengthy reveal, not all the gods are too thrilled to see her. She (and you) will be facing many of them in her adventure next winter.

At the SDCC panel, series director Cory Barlog also confirmed that the next God of War game starring Kratos will release sometime (probably several years) after God of War Laufey. Kratos’s story in that game will link to Laufey’s. For more on God of War Laufey, check out the game's topic page.
