NYPD 71st Precinct Officer Connors Promoted to Detective
NYPD Community Affairs Officer Jonathan Connors of the 71st Precinct in Crown Heights has been promoted to the rank of Detective.

Detective Connors, a familiar and trusted presence throughout the neighborhood, has long served as a key liaison between the police and local residents, earning recognition for his responsiveness and dedication.
“It’s wonderful that police officer Connors has now been promoted to detective,” said Devorah Halberstam, Honorary NYPD Commissioner of Community Safety and Chair of the Board of Commissioners to Combat Antisemitism. “Jon has been an exemplary community affairs detective. He is available to the community 24-7. Everybody recognizes him by name when he walks down the street, and he always has a smile on his face. He’s always there immediately when you call or when anything happens. The 71st Precinct and the Crown Heights Community are really fortunate that we have him as part of our command.”
Residents say Connors’ promotion reflects years of hands-on service and a deep commitment to the safety and wellbeing of Crown Heights.
