EL AL flight LY27, traveling from Ben Gurion Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport, was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Paris after a crew member experienced a medical issue and was unable to continue the flight.

Following the diversion, several passengers were transferred to alternative flights operated by other airlines, while the remaining passengers were accommodated at an airport hotel in Paris for Shabbos.

Arrangements have been made to accommodate the passengers’ Shabbos needs, including kosher meals, a designated Shul room, and a Chabad Rabbi who will join them at the hotel for Shabbos.

A replacement flight is scheduled to depart Paris on Motzei Shabbos.
