Anil Sandhu sworn in as Sabah Assistant Minister
by Nancy Lai · Borneo Post OnlineKOTA KINABALU (Dec 15): Kunak assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Anil Sandhu was sworn in as Assistant Minister of Youth Development, Sports Advancement and Creative Economy Sabah on Monday.
The swearing-in ceremony, which began at 10am, was held before the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah, Tun Musa Aman, and witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor.
After taking the oath of office, Anil, who won the Kunak seat in the 17th Sabah State Election under the Barisan Nasional (BN) ticket, signed his letter of appointment before Sabah High Court judge Celestina Stuel Galid.
The ceremony concluded with a prayer led by the Sabah State Government Mufti, Datuk Bungsu @ Aziz Jaafar.
Also present were Deputy Chief Minister I Datuk Seri Panglima Joachim Gunsalam; Minister of Youth Development, Sports Advancement and Creative Economy Sabah Datuk Nizam Datuk Seri Panglima Abu Bakar Titingan; and State Secretary Datuk Seri Panglima Safar Untong.
