SANDAKAN (Nov 27): With less than 48 hours before the 17th Sabah State Election campaign period comes to a close, Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for Sungai Sibuga, Datuk Suhaimi Nasir, has intensified his grassroots engagements, expressing strong confidence that voters are seeking a stable and experienced government capable of addressing their everyday concerns.

Suhaimi said the campaign, now in its critical final stretch, has shown encouraging momentum as more voters acknowledge BN’s consistent development record in the constituency.

“Voters have seen for themselves the steady progress BN has delivered in Sungai Sibuga over the years. This is not something new—this is a proven track record,” he said.

He stressed that Sungai Sibuga should no longer be treated as a political battleground, adding that the constituency needs a party with clear direction and the ability to ensure continuous development.

“Sungai Sibuga cannot continue to be a playground for political experiments. Voters deserve a party with a clear roadmap and the capability to deliver real, ongoing development,” he said.

Suhaimi said BN’s priorities for Sungai Sibuga focus on improving basic infrastructure, supporting people-centric economic initiatives, expanding job opportunities for youths, and strengthening welfare programmes for B40 families.

“These are not new promises. They are the continuation of work that has already been progressing,” he added.

Calling on voters to rally behind the coalition, Suhaimi urged residents to come out in full force on polling day.

“I hope all voters will turn out and make their voices heard. Let us keep Sungai Sibuga as a fortress of development under BN,” he said.

He emphasised that the people’s mandate would ensure ongoing progress for the constituency and safeguard the stability needed for future development.
