Body of youth who fell into river in Bintulu found

BINTULU (Oct 28): The body of a youth who went missing after falling into a river last Saturday was recovered this morning.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the body of Ilron Dennis, 21, was discovered at 9.59am about 300 metres from where he was last seen.

“The body was handed over to police for further action. The search-and-rescue operation was officially ended at 10.34am,” said operation commander Shukri Salleh.

The second day of the search today involved personnel from the Bintulu fire station and other government agencies.

Ilron reportedly fell into the river between a jetty and sand barge at Lot 1624, Jalan Sungai Nyigu.
