KUCHING (Dec 25): The future of Sarawak depends on the spirit of unity, family, and shared responsibility, said Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.

In his Christmas message, Dr Sim said the festive occasion was one where people got together with family, friends, and loved ones to share joy and strengthen relationships regardless of background.

“This reflects the uniqueness and strength of society, where everyone unites as Sarawakians.

“Sarawak in 2025 is different from a decade ago, with the state now becoming a national focus and point of reference. Therefore, every Sarawakian is urged to play their part and contribute with their ability for common good,” he said.

He said during this festive season, Sarawakians should take a moment to reflect on what they can do for Sarawak.

“This is a time to recharge so that we can step into 2026 with renewed spirit and continue building a better Sarawak,” he said.

Dr Sim also highlighted the state’s long-term aspirations to continue developing towards 2030 and building a more advanced, competitive, and prosperous Sarawak for future generations.

He also wished everyone good health so they could continue contributing to state development and nation-building efforts.
