Joint Rotary Clubs Christmas Party
by The Borneo Post · Borneo Post OnlineKOTA KINABALU (Dec 17): The Rotary Club of Kinabalu Sutera successfully hosted the Joint Rotary Clubs Christmas Party on December 14 at Majestic Oriental, Wisma Kinsabina. The festive gathering brought together about 40 Rotarians, along with their friends and family members, in a joyful celebration of fellowship and goodwill.
Present were Assistant Governors Francis Ng and Frederick Tai.
The event was officiated by Club President Ken Chong and Organising Chairman IPP Dr Richard Gontusan, who welcomed all guests and reflected on the significance of Christmas as a season of giving. They highlighted how the spirit of the season resonates strongly with Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self,” and encouraged attendees to continue embracing compassion, generosity and unity. They also emphasised the Rotary theme for the term, “Unite for Good,” calling upon Rotarians to strengthen relationships, work together, and remain committed to making a positive impact in their communities.
The evening was masterfully emceed by PP Alice Kunjan, whose warmth and enthusiasm contributed to the lively atmosphere.
Guests enjoyed a delightful spread of food, followed by carol singing by the RCKS members and a series of interactive games that added excitement and laughter to the celebration. The games included Kahoot, Charades, Don’t Say It, Completing Christmas Carols, and Snake and Ladder, all of which were met with enthusiastic participation.
The programme concluded with a festive gift exchange, where participants who brought gifts received one in return.
Three lucky guests also walked away with lucky draw prizes generously donated by PP Datuk Verus Aman Sham.
The Joint Rotary Clubs Christmas Party was a resounding success, fostering fellowship, strengthening bonds, and reaffirming Rotary’s commitment to service and unity.
