SIDS Sibu gets personal boost of RM10,000 from Bawang Assan rep
by Maxwell Atan · Borneo Post OnlineSIBU (March 30): The local branch of Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak (SIDS) has received a personal contribution of RM10,000 from Bawang Assan assemblyman Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh, meant to support its activities throughout this year.
In a statement, SIDS Sibu expressed deep appreciation for the contribution and also the continued support from Wong.
The presentation ceremony was held in connection with the branch’s 34th annual general meeting (AGM) here on Saturday, where Angelyn Uchi Maseng was re-elected as chairperson for the 2026-2028.
The AGM gathered 240 members from 22 areas under the purview of SIDS Sibu.
Also in the 2026-2028 line-up are vice-chairperson Monica Giri, secretary Elizabeth Raymond, assistant secretary Claudia Dieo, treasurer Mundun Undau, assistant treasurer Priscilla Bunsi, and publicity officer Adina Sana.
The executive committee comprises Doreen Ibrahim, Senorita Salleh, Loryna Leman, Catherine Tamoh and Magdelene Sigi, while the appointed co-opted members are Helena Merikan, Regina Emu, Sendra Jawang and Florence Suji.
