by Aileen Yap · Borneo Post OnlineKUCHING (Dec 17): Dato Sri Richard Wee has been re-elected to lead the Federation of Chinese Associations of Sarawak (FCAS) for another term, extending his tenure until 2028.
The re-election took place during the federation’s annual delegates conference, which recorded strong participation from member delegates.
The federation, in a statement, said the delegates recognised Wee’s leadership and dedication during his previous term, particularly his contributions to its long-term development and the ongoing association’s building project.
“To ensure continuity in leadership and the effective implementation of ongoing development initiatives, delegates resolved that Wee should continue to lead the Federation and the 20th term management committee in completing the building project, a key priority for the organisation,” FCAS said.
Other key office-bearers elected for the 20th term include Dato Dr Ngu Piew Seng as deputy president, Lim Ah Ted as secretary-general, and Datuk Yii Chi Hau as treasurer.
In his address, Wee expressed his sincere appreciation to all member associations and delegates for their continued confidence and support.
